Seera Group launches ‘Discover Saudi’, a new DMC at WTM 2019

Seera Group unveiled the Kingdom’s first-of-its-kind integrated Destination Management Company (DMC), under the brand name, ‘Discover Saudi,’ at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London. Set to catalyse international inbound tourism as well as domestic tourism, Discover Saudi, a SAR500 million investment by Seera Group supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to transform tourism as one of the key economic growth sectors. It will complement the goal of welcoming over 100 million annual overnight visitors and increasing the share of tourism to the Kingdom’s GDP to 10 per cent by 2030. The brand identity and strategic outlook of Discover Saudi were unveiled on the sidelines of WTM by Abdullah Al-Dawood, Board Member and Group CEO of Seera Group, he said, “The launch of Discover Saudi is part of our SAR1 billion investment in driving tourism development in the Kingdom with a distinctive value proposition. Seera & Disneyland Paris partner to increase visitors from Saudi Arabia

Seera Group has joined hands with Disneyland Paris to strengthen travel demand from Saudi Arabia, the wider GCC and North Africa to Paris. With this new alliance, Seera is now a General Sales Agent for Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC as well as North Africa, Lebanon and Jordan. Seera will sell Disney packages that include hotel accommodation and park entry across all its platforms, including corporate and government travel platforms – both driven through Elaa, the group’s specialised travel management business, as well as directly to send consumers through Almosafer, Seera’s flagship brand, and Tajawal, the UAE-focused online travel booking platform. Seera will also create customised packages covering flight and ancillary products to create added value for its customers. Seera’s customised packages for Disneyland Paris will also be made available to third-party travel agencies in all these markets. The Royal Commission for AlUla appoints Seera Group as DMC partner for ‘Winter at Tantora’

The Royal Commission for AlUla announced that Seera Group, the region’s leading provider of travel and tourism services, has been appointed as the key Destination Management Company (DMC) for the second season of ‘Winter at Tantora’, a timeless festival in AlUla, a cultural and historical destination that is home to Saudia Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage site. Set in the natural beauty of AlUla, last year’s inaugural Winter at Tantora was a success, welcoming high-profile guests from around the world and hosting 37,000 visitors from 72 countries. The second edition of the festival will be held from December 19, 2019, to March 7, 2020, offering additional weekends for visitors to enjoy cultural programming, equine events and celebrity performances by some of the world’s greatest musicians. Seera Group will highlight the destination through its dedicated campaign to promote Winter at Tantora, which is expected to welcome over 40,000 people through the weekend programmes. The deadline for technology start-ups to enter this year’s international AED 100,000 Futurism Programme, a zero-equity accelerator initiative of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, closes on July 31, 2019. The annual Futurism Programme aims to boost technology innovation within the tourism industry ecosystem and further position Dubai as a leading international technology hub for start-ups. IHG signs global partnership agreement with KSA based Seera Group

IHG signed a global partnership agreement with Seera Group, the largest travel and tourism company in the Middle East with a prominent local, regional and international presence. The significant direct connectivity distribution agreement, which was announced at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2019, will provide Seera Group (formerly Al Tayyar Travel Group) with access to IHG’s current global portfolio of 15 brands and over 5,600 hotels, in more than 100 countries, for the leisure travel category. Seera Group will also have access to automated real-time pricing and inventory across IHG’s portfolio.
