AnadoluJet to start its international flights from March 29, 2020

AnadoluJet goes global on March 29, 2020 with the launch of new international flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Ankara Esenboğa Airport. The expansion was announced during the pre-launch event held at Swissotel Al Ghurair, Dubai, with attendance of over 50 representatives from 25 agencies, including Dnata Travel, Kanoo Travel, BCD Travel, and Orient Travel Services. 10 weekly flights from Istanbul to Dubai will offer fliers affordability and ideal connectivity to the world. Tourism Authority of Thailand celebrates 60th anniversary in Dubai

Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) celebrated its 60th anniversary, with a glamourous event in Dubai under the theme ‘Luxperience’ in partnership with Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. The event highlighted luxury travel in Thailand, and in parallel, saw the launch of seven animal-themed family suites that have been added to Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok, the five-star resort-style property located at the heart of the city. RAKTDA to host ‘Meetings Intelligence Workshop’ from March 1-2, 2020

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) and the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) will host a dedicated ‘Meetings Intelligence Workshop’ to strengthen the UAE’s position in the international meetings market. Taking place in Ras Al Khaimah at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel on March 1 and 2, 2020, the event forms part of an ongoing partnership between Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority and the ICCA to address the increasing competition stemming from the shift of the international meetings market to the Middle East.  Specially designed for meetings suppliers and industry professionals, the workshop will address the bidding process and business development opportunities for association meetings and will host interactive sessions with recognised international stakeholders to share expertise, best practice and knowledge. Focus will be placed on subjects such as customer insights and successful bidding processes, with representatives from Spain, the UAE, Egypt, Oman and Saudi Arabia, including Convention Bureaus, Convention & Exhibition Centres, PCOs and DMCs, participating in the workshop. This will be complemented by a panel discussion for up to 40 guests with key stakeholders in the region. ITB China 2020 postponed due to COVID-19

ITB China organisers have postponed ITB China 2020, originally scheduled to be held on May 13–15 at Shanghai. The deferred show dates will be further announced by the show organisers. The decision is based on the current risk evaluation of the COVID-19 epidemic by local and global authorities. According to the regular report and COVID-19 prevention notification released by the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China recently, the COVID-19 situation in China continues to be challenging and developments in the following months are very hard to foresee at this stage. To ensure the safety of ITB China’s exhibitors and visitors, the organisers decided to postpone ITB China 2020, and in a responsible way allow all participants to make necessary arrangements in a timely manner. The ITB China organisers will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide further updates based on official assessments of the overall risk situation.
