Rotana has announced a new management agreement in the capital of Egypt at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2018 in Dubai. The agreement for a new 200-room five-star in New Cairo City will bring the company’s total inventory in the country to 726 keys. Marking the company’s strong presence at the annual industry event, Rotana is sharing key updates about its robust pipeline of 48 properties that are scheduled for opening before 2020. The company currently operates 16,161 keys across its 60 hotels in 23 cities and with the launch of the hotels under construction, Rotana will have a presence in 40 cities globally. Among key Rotana hotels on display at the exhibition, include the company’s three latest openings in the UAE. Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas, a luxurious five-star hotel in Abu Dhabi, took centrestage at the exhibition. With a soft opening in March 2018, the luxury resort is situated on Saadiyat Beach, a nine-kilometre stretch of white sand on the sprawling Saadiyat Island and features 354 luxurious rooms and suites in addition to 13 private beach villas. To make it appealing to discerning leisure, business and MiCE guests seeking a new resort and destination experience, the one-of-a-kind five-star property features seven modern dining options, three fully-equipped banquet and event rooms, a ballroom and an outdoor event venue.

Rotana once again strengthens its hub in Dubai by opening its latest five-star property and hotel apartments overlooking the Dubai Creek. Al Bandar Rotana consists of 190 rooms and suites in addition to Club Rotana rooms with additional benefits including an Executive Lounge and personalised services. Designed to suit the needs of long-stay visitors, Al Bandar Arjaan by Rotana offers 90 fully-furnished studios and apartments with options ranging from spacious studios to three-bedroom apartments. The rooms, suites and apartments, which offer expansive views of the creek, are all equipped with modern technology and home comforts. In addition to a Business Centre, the properties offer six state-of-the-art meeting and conference facilities equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment to cater to a wide range of occasions. UAE-based RSG International has signed a management agreement with Rotana for a new 4-star hotel in Dubai, at a prime location on Sheikh Zayed Road, Jebel Ali Central. The project marks RSG International’s second collaboration with Rotana this year, following the launch of the Sabah Rotana hotel in Dubai in March 2017, and gives a further boost to the company’s plans to augment its hospitality portfolio in the emirate ahead of Expo 2020. Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, the 54-storey, 533-room five star Sabah Rotana will include 210 spacious, well-appointed rooms in addition to 10 executive suites and 2 ultra-luxurious presidential suites. The hotel apartments meanwhile will include 260 one-bedroom and 52 two-bedroom apartments. Sabah Rotana will also feature an impressive array of food and beverage venues and world-class business and recreational facilities.

Rotana has signed an agreement with RSG International, a UAE-based global conglomerate, for a new five star hotel and serviced apartment project in Dubai, located in Sufouh Gardens on Sheikh Zayed Road. Named Sabah Rotana, the 54-storey, 534-room property will be managed by Rotana on behalf of RSG International and is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2020. The agreement was signed by Raj Sahni (Abu Sabah), Owner and Chairman of RSG International, and Nasser Al Nowais, Chairman of Rotana. Rotana made its long-awaited debut in Africa with the official opening of Kin Plaza Arjaan by Rotana in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The luxury five-star hotel was inaugurated by His Excellency the Governor of the city of Kinshasa, André Kimbuta Yongo, in the presence of prominent dignitaries and members of Rotana’s senior management including Nasser Al Nowais, Chairman and Selim El Zyr, Vice Chairman. Rotana has announced plans to open seven new hotels in Dubai, four hotels in the capital Abu Dhabi and one in Ras Al Khaimah by the end of 2020. Six of the upcoming properties will be five-star hotels, with the remaining properties comprising of a mix of four and three star hotels and hotel apartments. Upon completion, the new hotels will add 4,360 keys to Rotana’s existing inventory, taking its fast expanding portfolio in the UAE to 44  properties, including 21 in Dubai and 17 in Abu Dhabi, with a room inventory of 11,782  (6,682 in Dubai alone and 5,100 in Abu Dhabi). The total value of the 12 upcoming properties managed by Rotana in the UAE is estimated at USD 1.7 billion. Cayan Group has appointed Rotana Hotel Management as the hotel operator for the Cayan Arjaan Hotel Apartments project. Furthermore, Shapoorji Pallonji International has been appointed as the main contractor for the project with construction works expected to commence during November 2016. The project comprise of two towers, the residential and hotel apartments tower with 700 units in the form of studios, one to three bedroom apartments and penthouses. It will also contain retail spaces such as restaurants, meeting rooms, gym, spa and lounge. Launched in two stages at the strategic Umm Sequiem Road in Dubai which is fast becoming a major connection to roads, malls, recreational centres, residential areas, and educational institutes. Rotana has launched its second hotel in Amman with a total investment of approximately $280 million. Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan’s Prime Minister Hani Al-Mulki patronized the official opening of ‘Rotana Amman’, which brings the group’s combined inventory in Amman to 803 rooms, suites and hotel apartments, making Rotana the largest hotel operator in the Kingdom employing 900 Jordanians. As the tallest building in the Kingdom, Amman Rotana towers 188 meters and features 50 floors that include 412 lavish rooms and suites designed to combine luxury and comfort. Additionally, the hotel is home to a number of sophisticated and innovative dining venues, the cutting-edge Bodylines Fitness & Wellness Club as well as an outdoor swimming pool. Rotana Hotel Management Corporation and Dubai International Real Estate (DIRE) have mutually agreed to the termination of their agreement for the management of Al Bustan Hotel and Al Murooj Hotel in Dubai. Dubai International Real Estate (DIRE) have decided to take over the management of both hotels under their own management company, and thus effective 1st January 2017, both hotels will no longer be under Rotana’s management. This is a mutual decision between Rotana Hotel Management Corporation and Dubai International Real Estate and both parties are now working together to ensure a seamless transition.
