Global Village makes history by breaking 25th Guinness World Records

Global Village concluded its Silver Jubilee Season in spectacular fashion, having set out in October with the aim of breaking 25 Guinness World Records to honour the milestone anniversary, this vision became a reality as the 25th title was claimed in style. Global Village’s attempt to break the “Highest altitude skydiving fireworks display” was successful, adding the finishing touch to a memorable Season. Jaki Ellenby, Executive Director marketing, Global Village said: “It seems like just yesterday that we took the decision to attempt 25 records in just 6 months as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations. It has been an incredible journey… not always easy, but always exciting and our team rose to the challenge with passion and resilience. Etihad Airways and Global Village launches unique travel campaign

Global Village has revealed that the recently launched Etihad Baggage Claim Challenge has been welcomed with a positive reception by enthusiastic guests. The park partnered with Etihad Airways to provide guests with a unique opportunity to travel the world. Since its launch on Sunday, April 4th, the unique promotion has captured the imagination of those visiting the destination, with hundreds of participants entering daily for the chance to win. As the latest Silver Jubilee Season activation, the Global Village guest that guesses the 5-digit combination code of the large locked travel trunk located in the Park will receive one million Etihad Guest Miles, AED 25,000 cash for their travels, and AED 25,000 to shop at Global Village as they prepare for the trip of a lifetime. Every few days, a number is being released until a winner cracks the code, and these are being published on various channels including the Etihad Guest website (www.EtihadGuest.com) and mobile app, Arabian Radio Network stations, and Global Village Instagram channel and mobile app. Two of the five numbers have already been revealed and with more digits set to be published soon, guests are urged to follow Global Village social media platforms and download the app to increase their chances of winning.  This exciting activation is part of the Ramadan Nights program where guests can enjoy time with friends and family every evening from 6pm until 2am.

Global Village breaks Guinness World Records as they celebrate 25th jubilee

Global Village broke a new Guinness World Records title for the Most videos in a music medley video during last night’s Global Gig, the biggest virtual rock concert in history – and aims to break 24 more to honour the Silver Jubilee anniversary. Rockin’1000, the largest rock band on earth, brought musicians together from the region and around the world to celebrate the Global Village Silver Jubilee season. Audiences from across the globe, watching live on Global Village’s YouTube channel, joined guests in attendance for this incredible musical spectacular. In an evening full of surprises, pop group phenomenon Now United wowed Global Village Guests with a live performance of Come Together. 12 members of this talented group have flown in from 12 different countries and performed with their newest member, Nour, from Lebanon. This exciting surprise addition to the evening, underlines the Dubai ‘open for business’ message. Global Village to open 25th Season on October 25

Global Village has announced their health and safety measures for Season 25. Customer safety and comfort have always been of utmost importance for Global Village and this year is no different. Through close consultation and alignment with leading international and local authorities, Global Village is confident of a successful Season 25 ahead operating under “new normal” standards starting October 25, with enhanced hygiene and protection measures in place throughout. Global Village Silver Jubilee opens on October 25, 2020

Global Village announced the opening date for Season 25 as Sunday October 25, 2020. This Silver Jubilee Season promises to be a season like no other. In addition to the much-loved dining, shopping, entertainment and attractions on offer, including the ever-popular Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! museum attraction, Global Village promises enhancements in guest experience and some surprises that will unfold as part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations. Global Village opens today in Dubai

Global Village opens its doors for the launch of Season 24 in Dubai on October 29.
