Qatar Tourism showcases latest hospitality and travel offers at Riyadh Travel Show 2023

Qatar Tourism is leading a Qatari delegation of ten partners from the hospitality sector at the thirteenth edition of the Riyadh Travel Fair, which will be held from May 22 to 24 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This participation follows the great success of Qatar’s tourism sector during the first quarter of this year by attracting more than one million international visitors. Visitors from Saudi Arabia topped the rankings, reaching The total number of visitors to the Kingdom was 892,000 in the first quarter of the year, most of whom came to Qatar through the Abu Samra land crossing.
The 96 square metre Qatar Tourism Pavilion will highlight the tremendous development of the destination’s infrastructure and the latest developments in the hospitality sector, offering visitors to Qatar a unique blend of authentic cultural heritage, modernity and sophistication. Qatar Tourism’s participation in the exhibition reflects its interest in the travel market in Saudi Arabia, and is its second participation in tourism exhibitions held in the Kingdom this year.

The Saudi market is one of our key priority markets according to our long-term tourism strategy. In addition to learning about Qatar’s latest attractions, visitors to the Qatar Tourism Pavilion will receive a copy of the new guide that includes everything to see and do in Qatar during the summer season, as well as the latest promotions for accommodation and attractions in Qatar.
While Doha was recently named the Arab Tourism Capital for 2023, Qatar continues its efforts to boost its tourism sector and is implementing its Tourism Strategy 2030, through which it seeks to increase the sector’s contribution to GDP to 12%. Reinforcing the legacy of hosting the region’s first FIFA World Cup™, Qatar has relaunched Haya with a new look, standardizing its tourist visa procedures and opening up the opportunity for more tourists who are currently in need of Visas to enjoy its tourist offerings and authentic Arabian hospitality through a smoother travel experience. While GCC nationals and more than 95 nationalities can travel to Qatar visa-free, all remaining nationalities – regardless of job category – who require a visa can apply for a GCC Resident Visa (A2) via the Hayya platform.
