Flexible and adaptive to customer needs: Daniel Rosado Bayon

Daniel Rosado Bayon – Director of the Spanish Tourism Office in Abu Dhabi reiterated, “What we can see today is that the industry is experiencing constant changes, as situation and circumstances are evolving constantly and that makes us to be more flexible and change the approach to the reality we are living. As the customer priority shifts we must change with them. We must adapt to the demands like trust and confidence at this point of time. These are the ingredients for recovery. We must make our destination secure and safe and we must communicate it to our customers. So when the customers see that the destination is safe again they will regain the trust and confidence we will start to see the recovery. So what Spain has done in these last few weeks, we are open to some countries since July 1 some European countries but GCC will not be able to travel we will see them soon. We keep communicating that we are a safe destination to travel.”

Spain welcomes tourists again

The final in the tri-series webinar by the Spain tourism board was concluded successfully with participants from all over the United Arab Emirates and GCC. The session was conducted by Daniel Rosado Bayon – Director of the Spanish Tourism Office in Abu Dhabi where he provided a general update about the country, connectivity, weather, tourist arrivals to the destinations etc. The many things that you do need to know and must do if you travel to the destination. He also mentioned that they are getting ready to open for foreign tourists in July. Rosado stated, “First of all about the location Spain is located in the south western part of Europe, surrounded by France in the northeast and Portugal in the west. East by the Mediterranean sea and Atlantic ocean in the south. Many different climates throughout the country throughout the year and an ideal all year round travel destination. Summer is very popular as the weather is very mild, Canary island has good beach weather all year long. Explore Northern Spain from home on June 24 at 11am

The final in a tri-series webinar to promote the rich, beautiful and historical Spain will be held on Wednesday June 24, 2020 at 11am. Andalusia webinar by Spain Tourism ends on a positive note

The second in the tri-series webinar by the Spain tourism board was concluded successfully with participants from all over the United Arab Emirates and GCC. The programme was divided into four sessions; first was conducted by Daniel Rosado Bayon – Director of the Spanish Tourism Office in Abu Dhabi with a general update about the country, connectivity, weather etc. The many things that you do need to know and must do if you travel to the destination. He also mentioned that they are getting ready to open for foreign tourists in July. The second session was conducted by Juan Manuel Ortiz Pascual, Promotion and Communications Director of Andalusia Tourism. This was a comprehensive presentation about Andalusia with several videos where visitors could take a closer look at the destination and its offerings. He shared about the many activities that can be done, the historical, cultural and entertainment options for families and leisure travelling individuals, honeymooners, youth, adventure and M!CE visitors etc. He stated that there are four main assets for the Islamic community which are Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada and Malaga. The destination has seen Romans, Thracians, Phoenicians etc during their times. Malaga is a city that was hitherto unknown until the biggest airport was constructed. It receives 24,000,000 passengers a year with Ave high speed train, the Malaga cruise port brings across 511,000 passengers in 2019, the destination has 103 charming places. Rosado shared two other important destinations one is quite famous “Valencia” and other is Extremadura. Valencia is the third largest city in Spain with landmark buildings, family friendly destination with various activities for the whole family.
