Sabre Hospitality extends long-term relationship with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts

Sabre Hospitality announced the renewal of its long-term agreement with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchisor with more hotels than any other company in the world. Sabre Hospitality renews Wyndham following accelerated migration

Sabre Hospitality announced a multi-year renewal with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, following the hotel franchisor’s highly successful adoption of SynXis Property Hub, Sabre Hospitality’s property management system (PMS). With seamless integration to SynXis Central Reservation System as a single source of truth, SynXis Property Hub increases operational efficiency by reducing the time to execute routine tasks and allows hoteliers to access their property from anywhere through cloud-native technology. In a landmark achievement that showcases the decade-long partnership between the two companies, Sabre and Wyndham teams successfully migrated more than 5,000 Wyndham hotels to SynXis Property Hub, including the transition of 550 in a single record-breaking month, nearly one year ahead of schedule. Wyndham continues growth momentum across Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa reaching over 550 hotels across the region

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts continues its growth trajectory across Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa (EMEA), reaching over 550 hotels across the region through a number of important openings in the year, and a strong line-up of property launches expected in the coming months. In the Middle East, Wyndham continued to bring more accommodation options to Dubai, with the launch of Wyndham Residences on Palm Jumeirah, one of the most popular landmarks in the emirate. In the first half of 2022, the total number of guests within the overall UAE hotel industry increased 42% year-on-year to reach 12 million, driven by The Expo 2020 Dubai and sustained by football’s biggest sporting event in Qatar, where Wyndham opened the 278-key beachfront Wyndham Grand Doha West Bay Beach, as well as Ramada by Wyndham Doha Old Town. Retaining staff during the pandemic, Wyndham hotels Ajman enjoy 70% occupancy

Speaking with TTME at a recent interview, Ravi Santiago, Cluster General Manager for the three properties in Ajman; Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Ajman, Ramada by Wyndham Beach Hotel Ajman, and Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche and Group Financial Controller for R Hotels stated, “We are blessed to enjoy 70% occupancy during the month of September, once the lockdown was lifted, we started implementing simple promotions that included some very attractive packages for the guests. This soon grew in number and we kept on ensuring that the guests had something more every time they would book with us. One of the key drivers of success was the staff that contributed every step of the way. We believed that a motivated staff is the way forward in the hospitality industry as it is service oriented, hence today we are very lucky to enjoy this success mainly due to the proactive initiatives by the owners and management. Wyndham Hotel Group appoints Rogier M. Hurkmans as Cluster GM

Wyndham Hotel Group has now entrusted Rogier M. Hurkmans as Cluster General Manager for two of its hotels in the UAE. Hurkmans who was earlier the opening GM at the Wyndham Dubai Marina will now oversee TRYP by Wyndham located in Barsha Heights as well. In his new role, Hurkmans will be responsible for the opening of TRYP by Wyndham property located in Barsha Heights, which is due in the first half of 2017, as well as continuing to oversee operations at Wyndham Dubai Marina. With more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Hurkmans brings a wealth of expertise and experience with reputed hotel chains including InterContinental, Hilton, Steigenberger, Swissôtel and Bilderberg working on a number of hotel openings, renovations, and rebranding projects.
