SAUDIA Group sign MOU to create exceptional cultural experiences for the kingdom’s guests

SAUDIA Group and the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Culture signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on promoting the nation’s distinctive culture throughout the world while enriching the cultural experience of the Kingdom’s guests. This agreement is in line with the Group’s commitment to achieving the goals of Vision 2030 to promote the Kingdom’s cultural sector by creating exceptional cultural experiences that touch the senses of guests on board being the first gateway for the traveler to Saudi. This partnership reflects SAUDIA Group’s efforts to create exceptional cultural experiences to more than 60,000 passengers daily. The role of the group is not limited to only creating these cultural experiences, but it also extends through its sponsorship and support for cultural events and festivals such as the first edition of The Red Sea International Film Festival, Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale, and the support it has extended to the Ministry of Culture in celebrating the ‘Year of Arabic Calligraphy’ by adorning two of its aircraft with a special livery marking the initiative. HRH Minister of Energy and H.E. Minister of Tourism signs MoU with Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) to fulfill vision 2030 of sustainability

In the presence of HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Energy, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Oil Sustainability Program (OSP), and H.E. Ahmed AlKhateeb, Minister of Tourism, Secretary General of the Board of Directors of Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), the Oil Sustainability Program (OSP) signed an MoU with Diriyah Gate Development Authority to promote collaboration in using sustainable polymer materials in the latter’s projects, provide the required technical and logistic support, and collaborate with relevant entities in this field. The MoU was signed by Eng. Mohammad Hitham AlTayyar, Program Director of OSP, and Mr. Jerry Inzerillo, Chief Executive Officer of Diriyah Gate Development Authority. This MoU reflects the interdependence and integration of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs, given that OSP and DGDA are outcomes of this vision. The OSP aims to sustain and grow demand on hydrocarbons, whether as a competitive energy source or raw materials used to produce various important products, while maintaining the highest levels of economic and environmental efficiency. Meanwhile, the DGDA is carrying out projects that rely on sustainability principles and environment protection. It is noteworthy that this MoU aims at building a strategic cooperation between the OSP and DGDA on hydrocarbon-based materials. This includes identifying opportunities that would improve the construction and operation processes in DGDA’s projects and developing plans to assess and implement these opportunities, as well as to develop awareness strategies to highlight common goals. Gulf Air to start flights to Ras Al Khaimah

Gulf Air signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RAK International Airport), aiming to build connectivity between the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and the Kingdom of Bahrain.Heralding a new phase of operations for RAK International Airport, which is quickly establishing itself as a major transport and logistics hub for the UAE, the MoU was signed in a virtual ceremony that brought together high-ranking executives from both organizations. “We are always keen to explore ways to enhance the connectivity between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE. SCTDA collaborates to help improve youth tourism services

Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE Youth Hostel Association and the Sharjah Archaeology Authority, with the aim of enhancing the guidelines, standards and mechanisms in managing youth hostels and improving the quality of services provided to the youth tourism sector while preserving the traditional houses of the emirate. The new initiative comes in line with Sharjah’s continuing efforts to strengthen its leading position on the global tourism map. The SCTDA has been tasked to take charge in the management, supervision and development of services of youth hostels located in the emirate, while the Sharjah Archaeology Authority oversees the maintenance and preservation of the facilities. Hala China signs MoU to deepen cultural exchange between UAE and China

Hala China has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shaanxi Tourism Group which will allow both parties to explore future collaborations on a range of tourism initiatives to drive two-way travel between Dubai and Shaanxi. The agreement marks another notch in the ever-deepening and productive bilateral relationship between China and the UAE, owing to Hala China’s efforts. It was signed at China (Shaanxi)-UAE Economic and Trade Conference, held on November 11, 2019, in Dubai. According to the terms of the MoU, both parties aim to “vigorously support and promote tourism and culture interexchange activities” in Dubai and Shaanxi while intensifying “cooperation between local travel agencies and travel organisations” to launch various tourism popularisation activities. Sharjah Ruler signs MOU to promote Emirati culture in Spain

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, is currently on a cultural visit to the Spanish capital. On October 8, he was at Casa Árabe Madrid, which has been operating as the strategic centre for Spain’s relations with the Arab world since 2006. The Sharjah Ruler was received by Pedro Martínez-Avial, General Director, Casa Árabe, and senior representatives of Spanish cultural and academic institutions. The Sharjah Ruler witnessed the signing of a MoU between Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) and Casa Árabe, to promote Emirati and Arab cultures in Spain. It was signed by HE Ahmed Bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of SBA and Pedro Martínez, in the presence of heads and senior officials of both Emirati and Spanish cultural entities. The MoU seeks to achieve the goal of building bridges and strengthening bilateral relations to promote cooperation in key cultural sectors leveraged by Casa Árabe’s strong regional and international network. Under the agreement, the two entities will also work on executing agreed-upon programmes targeted at enhancing cultural exchange. Hala China’s Big C Forum sees Meraas sign MOU with Samanea Group for AED1 billion mall

The inaugural Big C Forum witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Dubai-based holding company Meraas and Singapore-based Chinese company Samanea Group that will see the launch of an AED1 billion mall by Q2 2021 near Dubai International City. Six key Chinese manufacturers and businesses also signed the letter of intent. Samanea Group is to develop the 570,000 sq. ft. retail outlet, which will focus on home appliances and furniture from small, medium and big Chinese businesses seeking a foothold in the GCC market. The mall will also hold space for 1,800 parking spaces. The event was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Director General of Dubai Information Department – the special Guest of Honour, who witnessed the hive of bilateral business activity initiated by Hala China. At the event, Her Excellency Tan Li, Acting Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai, said, “In recent years, both China-UAE and China-Dubai relations have developed very fast.
