Sri Lankan Airlines announced operations to Gan International Airport in Southern Maldives, a secluded getaway with luxurious resorts via Sri Lanka especially suited for high-end travellers from the Middle East. He reiterated that this year they hope to increase this number by working with the travel trade in a special programme that they are planning and to showcase some of the new attractions which are culturally and historically significant.
