Travellers in Kuwait will be able to fly directly to Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, starting December 8 with a newly established flight route by Jazeera Airways. Supported by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the independent airline announced the new direct flights to Al Ain at a travel trade event in Kuwait. The event included many DCT Abu Dhabi’s key partners in Al Ain, such as Rotana Hotels, Ayla Hotels, Al Bada Resorts, and Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting, and Golf Club. Emirates and China Southern Airlines have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to progress on a comprehensive reciprocal codeshare agreement, which is set to open up new destinations for passengers travelling between China, Middle East and Africa. The partnership with the Guangzhou-based carrier also allows Emirates’ passengers to enjoy seamless connectivity on domestic flights within China, adding eight new destinations to its global network. The Chinese cities covered by the codeshare agreement include Fuzhou, Chongqing, Kunming, Qingdao, Xiamen, Chengdu, Nanjing and Xi ‘an during the initial phase of the partnership, subject to necessary government approvals. Passengers travelling from China will have more choice and travel seamlessly with minimum connection times when flying to destinations in Emirates’ Middle East network such as Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Muscat, Kuwait and Cairo. VFS Global has signed a contract with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic for providing visa services in 10 countries worldwide. As per this new contract, VFS Global will now provide visa services for Slovakia in China, India, Kazakhstan, Palestine, Belarus, Russia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Egypt through 38 visa application centres. The rollout of all these new operations is expected to be completed by December 2018.
