As part of its ongoing efforts to expand its network of routes around the world and meet the growing demand from customers, Kuwait Airways has announced the launch of its summer flight schedule for the 2025 season. The new schedule introduces a variety of varied destinations in the emerging markets, offering customers with new and diverse options. Kuwait Airways is focusing on destinations that witness high demand from valued customers from within the State of Kuwait, particularly during the summer season from June 2025 to September 2025. The company will launch several summer destinations, including to Moscow with four flights per week commencing from 6th June, Alexandria with three flights per week starting from 1st July, Luxor with three flights per week from 2nd July, Antalya with four flights per week starting from 2nd June, Bodrum with four flights per week starting from 2nd June, Trabzon with four flights per week starting from 1st June, Sharm El Sheikh with two flights per week starting from 4th June, Malaga with three flights per week starting from 5th June, Nice with two flights per week starting from 17th June, Salalah with four flights per week starting from 2nd June, Vienna with four flights per week starting from 1st June, and Kuala Lumpur with three flights per week starting from 1st June, bringing the number of destinations to 58 including the permanent destinations during the summer season for 2025. Kuwait Airways announced a strategic move to strengthen its international network and meet the growing demand for flights between Kuwait and the United Kingdom, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Kuwait Airways announced an increase in the number of flights to and from London by 16 flights per week. This increase in flight frequencies provides customers with more flexible and convenient options for traveling between the two countries. The President of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Eng. Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah emphasized the importance of increasing the number of flights to and from London due to the growing demand from travellers. He noted that this decision was made in coordination and cooperation with the civil aviation authorities at London Heathrow Airport, who facilitated all necessary procedures to support the increase in flight frequency between the two countries. Al-Humoud stressed that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation is committed to providing all means of support to Kuwait Airways, the national carrier of the State of Kuwait, and to enhancing its reputation as a distinguished carrier in the region. Kuwait Airways signed an agreement with the Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) that enables the national carrier of the State of Kuwait to sell tickets for the Haramain High Speed Railway trips to its valued customers. The service will be activated in the coming period, commencing with Hajj and Umrah campaigns and later for individuals. The agreement also aims to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides and to improve passenger services to facilitate their trips between the cities of Mecca and Medina. The agreement was signed on behalf of Kuwait Airways, by the Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan, and Saudi Railways by the CEO, Dr. Bashar bin Khalid Al-Malik. The signing ceremony was attended by several officials representing both companies. Speaking during the signing ceremony, Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan said, “Kuwait Airways is pleased to sign an agreement with one of the most prominent companies in the region, the Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR). Kuwait Airways participated in the 7th edition of the Bahrain International Airshow held recently, as part of the delegation from the State of Kuwait, represented by the President of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Eng. Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, and in the presence of Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan and an accompanying delegation of KAC officials. The airshow was attended by exhibitors and partners from across the aviation industry, including around 223 civil and military delegations representing more than 56 countries and 60 regional and international companies. Additionally, more than 135 local, regional, and international companies showcased exhibits across exhibition halls, airport spaces, chalets and five international pavilions. Kuwait Minister of Information and Culture and Kuwait Airways Chairman discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between Kuwait Airways and the Ministry through the exchange of services related to the tourism sector, in addition to reviewing the most important future projects between the two sides. The Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Mr. Abdulrahman Badah Al-Mutairi held discussions with Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan, who was accompanied by the Chief Executive Officer, Captain Ahmad M. Kuwait Airways has signed a cooperation protocol with the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training to create a diploma program specializing in ‘Aviation Sciences and Air Transport’ at the Communications and Navigation Institute at the Authority. The protocol will enable the qualification and training of graduates from the (Applied) program within the company’s operational sectors. The cooperation will also include providing students with the opportunity to work at Kuwait Airways in the future, according to the requirements and specific training conditions based on the agreement concluded between them. The protocol was signed by the Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan on behalf of Kuwait Airways, and the Director General, Dr. Hassan Mohammad Al-Fajjam, on behalf of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, in the presence of various officials representing both parties. As part of its tireless efforts to implement its social responsibility programs, Kuwait Airways in cooperation with the National Bank of Kuwait hosted an educational tour and field visit for NBK Aspire program students as part of their summer internship at the company’s various facilities. This included a visit to the aircraft hangar facilities at the Engineering department to understand about the mechanisms and procedures of the department’s work related to aircraft maintenance. This was in addition to providing the trainees with detailed explanations about the nature of work related to maintenance procedures, thereby enriching the knowledge of the participants about the world of aviation. Kuwait Airways has been ranked third in the Middle East and Africa region in terms of its On-Time Performance ensuring timely flight departures with a growth rate of 91.13%, according to the periodic report for the month of June 2024 issued by Cirium, which specializes in aviation analytics and data that includes the On-Time Performance of airlines around the world. ​​​ Kuwait Airways confirmed an increase in the punctuality rate of flight departure timings, as the company achieved an On-Time Performance of 90.6% in May 2024, compared to 88.2% in April 2024 and 85.6% in March 2024.
