Travellers in Kuwait will be able to fly directly to Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, starting December 8 with a newly established flight route by Jazeera Airways. Supported by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the independent airline announced the new direct flights to Al Ain at a travel trade event in Kuwait. The event included many DCT Abu Dhabi’s key partners in Al Ain, such as Rotana Hotels, Ayla Hotels, Al Bada Resorts, and Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting, and Golf Club. By establishing the new direct routes, DCT Abu Dhabi hopes to encourage travellers from Kuwait to visit the city of Al Ain in a move to boost tourism to the ‘heritage heartland’ of the emirate. Low cost carrier Jazeera Airways will begin operating to Hyderabad (India) from November 16, 2017, followed by Kochi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad by mid-December. Jazeera Airways will operate daily flights to Hyderabad departing 1840 hours arriving 0135 hours, making it possible to travel to India without wasting a working day. Schedules for other routes to the subcontinent will be announced shortly. Fares from Kuwait to Hyderabad start from KD 32 one way and are on sale now with a baggage allowance of 30 kg in economy class and 50 kg per passenger in business class. Kuwaiti airline Jazeera Airways recently launched a twice weekly service to Azerbaijan’s capital city, Baku. The inaugural flight (Airbus A320) landed at the Baku airport earlier this week and was received by the customary water arch. Being one of the first to provide non-stop flights of extended frequency to this emerging holiday destination, Jazeera Airways will offer a frequency of two flights every week, on Mondays and Fridays, taking off from Kuwait at 09:00 am and arriving at Baku at 12:10 pm and then departing from Baku at 13:10 pm on the same day and landing in the home country at 14:25 pm.
