flynas announced that it has increased the seat capacity on its domestic flights to Taif, Abha, and Al-Baha to more than 480,000 seats, an increase of 21% during the summer season for this year compared to the same period last year, with an average of 30 flights per day for three months, intending to enhance domestic tourism during the summer of 2024, in conjunction with taking delivery of the 52nd new aircraft out of an order to purchase 120 A320neo aircraft from Airbus. flynas celebrated its first direct flight between Riyadh and El-Alamein International Airport on the north coast of Egypt recently adding the Mediterranean city to its list of summer destinations with scheueled flights for the first time in the region, further expanding tourist destinations options for flynas guests through its ever-growing international network. The outbound flight departed King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh after an inaugural ceremony attended by representatives from flynas and KKIA. As of September 2024, flynas to become the only KSA airline serving the major 4 airports in the UAE. flynas announced a massive expansion plan in the UAE  adding Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) in Dubai to its network operated from flynas’ main bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Madinah. The routes operated between the two countries will be increased from 4 routes currently to 9 routes, allowing for an exceptional expansion to more than 20 daily flights. Emirates and flynas signed an expanded two-way interline partnership with plans to open up connections and more travel choices for flynas customers via Dubai. Emirates’ current interline with flynas provides its customers with enhanced connectivity via its four gateways – Riyadh, Jeddah, Medinah and Dammam – to over 15 domestic points in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also includes the convenience of single ticket itineraries with onwards booking and baggage transfers. flynas launched a training program for its cabin crew and ground services employees on the best ways to care for passengers with autism spectrum disorder in cooperation with the Saudi Autistic Society, the first training workshops were held in Riyadh during the 3rd week of January 2024. Waleed Ahmed, the corporate communication director and the spokesperson at flynas expounded that the program held in Prince Nasser bin Abdulaziz Autism Center, included theoretical education and practical training by specialists and consultants from the Saudi Autistic Society for the members of the air hospitality crews and ground service employees at flynas, aiming to learn the best methods for dealing with passengers with autism and learning about strategies for effective communication and interaction with them. The program also included introducing participants to the characteristics of autism and how to interact with them, as well as training on providing a comfortable and supportive environment for passengers with autism, focusing on improving their travel experience, as part of the company’s social responsibility programs and its commitment to adopting initiatives with sustainable impact on society. The Saudi Autistic Society is the largest specialized association in the Kingdom accredited by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. It was established in 2003 to include its services throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide support, assistance and appropriate care and contribute to the integration of beneficiaries with autism spectrum disorder as well as community awareness. flynas announced the launch of four direct weekly flights between Dammam and Hail, starting January 4, 2024. The launch announcement of the new flights comes days after flynas’ announcement of launching many domestic and international new routes and destinations during the last two weeks.
