A mobile check-in van equipped with the latest technology is integral to the success of the Off-Airport check-in procedures. A team of DUBZ’s well-trained staff visits the passenger’s home, receives the baggage, issues the boarding pass and transports it to the airport to ensure a hassle-free travel experience for the passengers who avoid the airport queues, baggage transportation, and other travel related inconveniences. They ensure complete safety with step-by-step baggage imaging, 360-degree CCTV and GPS tracking. DUBZ, a baggage technology and logistics company and part of dnata, has opened a new ‘check-in station’ at The Dubai Mall. The DUBZ team checks in customers for their flights, prints their boarding passes, weighs and secures their baggage and ensures they are delivered to the airport and loaded onto the aircraft. After collecting their boarding passes and baggage tags, customers can enjoy the various shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities The Dubai Mall offers to its visitors, and then take the Dubai metro to the airport. DUBZ provides its services to the passengers of nine airlines, including flydubai, Saudia, flynas, China Southern, Kuwait Airways, Gulf Air, SaudiGulf, Royal Jordanian, and Ethiopian Airlines. The service is available from AED 99, which covers the check-in fee for one passenger with one piece of luggage. Additional pieces of luggage can be added for a fee of AED 40 each. The service price is capped at AED 249 covering up to 10 bags. Passengers flying out from Dubai can now enjoy the convenience of checking in their baggage and getting boarding passes from their home or hotel. dnata is launching these new services through baggage technology and logistics company, DUBZ, in which it recently acquired a majority stake. Available 24 hours a day, the service can be booked online at www.dubz.com. Since its launch, DUBZ has seen strong demand for its services from customers who want a hassle-free journey to and from the airport, especially when travelling in groups. dnata and DUBZ are starting the new home check-in service for passengers flying with flydubai and KSA carriers, Saudia and flynas. They have the capability to extend this to any carrier and are currently in discussions with other airlines to make it available to their passengers soon. In addition, passengers on any airline arriving at Terminals 1 and 2 at Dubai International Airport and Al-Maktoum International Airport can appoint DUBZ to collect their baggage at the carousels, clear customs on their behalf and deliver the bags straight to their home or hotel. The new luggage check-in services costs AED 110 each for the first and second bags or AED299 for the first three bags, and AED30 for every additional bag after that. For the baggage belt pick up service, it is AED 99 for the first bag and AED 40 for every additional bag.
