Dubai Municipality announced that the night-swimming beaches in Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, and Umm Suqeim 1 have welcomed approximately 1.5 million visitors within 18 months of their opening. Covering a total distance of 800 metres, these beaches reflect the Municipality’s commitment to enhancing the appeal of public beaches by providing services and facilities that prioritise comfort, luxury, and a high quality of life for both tourists and residents. This initiative aligns with the comprehensive plan for the development of public beaches in Dubai. Dubai Municipality recorded a total of 16,391,748 visitors to major public parks, residential parks, playgrounds as well as recreational facilities in the first half of 2024, marking a substantial increase of 1.3 million visitors as compared to the same period last year. Visitors to residential parks in the Emirate reached 10,613,996, while those to the five major parks was 3,146, 480, distributed between Al-Mamzar Park with 1,000,755 visitors; Mushrif Park with 874,201 visitors; 583,508 visitors to Creek Park; Za’abeel Park with 545,335 visitors, and Al-Safa Park with 142,681 visitors. Furthermore, 1,037,402 people visited the Quranic Park, while the number of people visiting the Dubai Frame reached 827,000. As many as 623,904 people visited the bicycle, mountain, and pedestrian pathways at the Municipality’s parks and facilities. Dubai Municipality has announced the launch of the temporary winter camping season that starts from Tuesday, October 17, 2023, until the end of April 2024 at Al-Awir area in Dubai. The Municipality has set up family-friendly and practical camping areas for the visitors to enjoy a beautiful desert camping experience and winter. This is part of the Municipality’s initiative to provide high-quality services to ensure people’s happiness and wellbeing, further supporting Dubai’s goal of being the best city in the world to live and work in. Dubai Municipality has ensured availability of necessary equipment, services, and amenities at all camping areas to enhance campers’ experience, promote a safe and comfortable camping, and ensure well-organized activities during the winter. Additionally, the Municipality has prioritized safety and comfort for people of determination and senior citizens’ by enabling them to reserve places at the front of the designated camping location for ease of access.
