Tourism Ireland Virtual Roadshow was a great success when almost 350 agents met with 28 partners from the island of Ireland for two days of fruitful business meetings completing almost 600 over just a few hours. Aisling McDermott – Manager Middle East & Asia -Tourism Ireland, “I’m delighted with how our first virtual Ireland Meets the Middle East Roadshow went. The feedback from participating buyers and suppliers has been so positive and heart-warming. Tourism Ireland’s aim with this event was to further strengthen our relationships with Middle East travel buyers and to showcase the very best of the island of Ireland. I’m confident 2021 will see the restart of international travel and Tourism Ireland have been actively planning for this restart. We’ve been working hard on the ground to ensure we’re ready to welcome back visitors focusing on our luxury offerings, with more emphasis on the private experiences, personalised services, and outdoor activities. This roadshow gave buyers the opportunity to see that Ireland offers something totally unique for visitors from the Middle East while also reassuring them that we have implemented all the newly required health and safety measures, without compromising the holiday experience that makes Ireland so special. I so look forward to welcoming our visitors from the Middle East back to the island of Ireland.”
