ADQ and ADNEC Group enter into definitive agreement to acquire 40.5% stake in Egypt’s Talaat Moustafa Group Holding hospitality subsidiary

ADQ and ADNEC Group have signed definitive agreements for the strategic acquisition of a 40.5 per cent stake in Egypt-based Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) Holding’s hospitality arm, ICON Group, through a capital increase. ICON is a leading player in Egypt’s luxury and upscale hospitality market, with a track record of building and owning some of the most celebrated luxury hotels in Egypt. The group owns four operational hotels – Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza, Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo, Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh and Four Seasons Alexandria at San Stefano – and has three hotels and luxury residential real estate assets currently under development, such as the Four Seasons in Madinaty and Luxor and Radisson Collection in Marsa Alam, and one hotel under design, the Four Seasons at The Pyramids. ADQ and ADNEC will invest through a special purpose vehicle, with 49 per cent equity ownership by ADQ and 51 per cent equity ownership by ADNEC. The transaction represents a major foreign direct investment (FDI) in Egypt and marks a vote of investor confidence in the Egyptian tourism and hospitality sector. The investment by ADQ and ADNEC in TMG’s hospitality arm will be used partially to de-leverage the existing debt of ICON, with the remaining used for the acquisition of a stake through ICON in the portfolio of seven luxury heritage hotels owned by the Egyptian Government, for which definitive agreements have been signed. The seven hospitality assets include Marriott Cairo Omar Khayyam Zamalek, Marriott MENA House Cairo, Sofitel Winter Palace Luxor, Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Aswan, Steigenberger Cecil Hotel Alexandria, Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir Cairo and Mövenpick Resort Aswan. ADNEC Group launches charter flight service to support Abu Dhabi’s tourism and hospitality sectors 

ADNEC  Group, through its tourism arm Tourism 365, has launched new charter flight services in the UAE, enhancing travel options for international tourists from multiple destinations while propelling the UAE’s hospitality offering and reputation as a premier global destination. This premium new service, available from Europe and central Asia, is poised to increase visitor arrivals to the UAE, while further solidifying ADNEC Group’s position as a key player in the regional tourism sector. The new charter service complements the group’s wider hospitality offering, supporting the travel industry’s role in the nation’s economic growth, a sector expected to represent nearly 10 per cent of the UAE’s total economy in 2023. Charter flights have been launched by Tourism 365 in August from high demand and non-commercially operated international markets. Hundreds of thousands of travellers are expected to experience Tourism 365’s new service this year alone. Emerging source markets boosting arrivals into Abu Dhabi include Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Tajikistan through its tour operator, Easy Booking, in Central Asia. This October, the German market will also benefit from the launch of weekly charter operations to Abu Dhabi from airports including Leipzig, Nuremberg and Cologne through its own tour operator, Capital Holidays. ADCEB sign MOU with ADNEC Group to enhance Abu Dhabi’s position as leading global business events destination

ADIHEX’s 18th edition to be extended to 7 days international fair

Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) announced that the 18th edition of the event will take place over seven days from September 27 to October 3, 2021, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), under the patronage of H.H. ADNEC opens registrations for UMEX and SimTEX 2020 exhibitions

Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) announced the opening of online registration for exhibitors, media professionals and visitors to participate in the fourth edition of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) and Simulation and Training Exhibition and Conference (SimTEX) and the accompanying conference. Both are held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and organised by ADNEC in cooperation with the General Command of the Armed Forces, from February 23-25, 2020. Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) is set to host a series of leading international events in its venues in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain during November 2018, covering key economic sectors like oil & gas, real-estate, investment and healthcare.
