Kuwait Airways and Public Authority join to introduce new training and job opportunities

Kuwait Airways has signed a cooperation protocol with the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training to create a diploma program specializing in ‘Aviation Sciences and Air Transport’ at the Communications and Navigation Institute at the Authority. The protocol will enable the qualification and training of graduates from the (Applied) program within the company’s operational sectors. The cooperation will also include providing students with the opportunity to work at Kuwait Airways in the future, according to the requirements and specific training conditions based on the agreement concluded between them.

The protocol was signed by the Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan on behalf of Kuwait Airways, and the Director General, Dr. Hassan Mohammad Al-Fajjam, on behalf of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, in the presence of various officials representing both parties.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan emphasized on the importance of the protocol in equipping the upcoming generations in the service of their country and their national carrier, Kuwait Airways. He pointed out that the Blue Bird bestows special emphasis on the youth and national competencies that effectively contribute to the development and progress of the company, as well as in the pursuit of including new talents and expertise for the advancement of the national carrier.

Al-Fagaan added that the protocol includes implementing field training for the students at the company’s operational facilities, indicating that Kuwait Airways will provide them with all the latest technological features and technical developments in the field of aviation sciences and air transport. This is in addition to organizing and conducting programs, visits, and workshops to exchange technical expertise and implementing joint scientific and applied research in areas for the development of specialization between the two parties.

Al-Fagaan continued by saying, “Kuwait Airways will pave the way for its students and graduates by providing them with job opportunities at Kuwait Airways. They will be qualified through training courses at the company in the various operational sectors such as network planning, cargo, sales, operations etc. In addition, they will receive training from our experienced employees, so that they become a part of the company in the future according to specific conditions.”

Al-Fagaan stated that this initiative is part of Kuwait Airways’ efforts to strengthen relations with State agencies, foster joint cooperation, and communication, and consolidate these ties in ways that contribute to improving collaboration and enhancing the work environment for the benefit of the country.

Al-Fagaan expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training for their tangible cooperation to invest and develop in the future generations, while emphasizing on Kuwait Airways’ keenness to contribute to developing the capabilities of the country’s youth and their potentials as an integral component of the Kuwaiti society. He highlighted that the national carrier is committed to its social responsibility towards students by providing opportunities in technical specializations in the company’s various sectors and receiving diplomas, whether in the cargo sector, ticketing, and sales, in addition to ground services and equipping them in specialized courses in the field of aviation.

On his part, the Director General of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, Dr. Hassan Mohammad Al-Fajjam stated that the administration of PAAET is striving in coordination and cooperation with all ministries, agencies, and institutions of the State to partner in opening horizons for opportunities in the labour market for both male and female high school graduates.

Al-Fajjam added, “Kuwait Airways is one of the institutions that functions according to well-researched plans through its senior management represented by the Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan to develop and enhance its efficiency as the national carrier by developing national talents and competencies employed in it. The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training and Kuwait Airways have formed a coordination committee that includes members from each party. This coordination has resulted in the establishment of a program and specialization titled “Diploma in Aviation Sciences and Air Transport (at the Higher Institute of Communications and Navigation).

Al-Fajjam expressed his sincere wishes for the successful implementation of this program and for many more courses and specializations to be created between the two parties in the near future. He also extended his appreciation to all the participants in the coordination committee for the fruitful cooperation between the Authority and Kuwait Airways.
