Kuwait Airways launches flights to Casablanca

As part of the continuous efforts to expand its network of destinations, Kuwait Airways launched of its first scheduled commercial flights to Casablanca, Morocco, commencing from 1st June 2022, with two flights per week on Sundays and Wednesdays. Kuwait Airways CEO, Eng. Maen Razouqi stated, “Kuwait Airways is pleased to launch its first flight to the city of Casablanca in Morocco. This destination has always been of immense preferential importance to our customers, due to its popular touristic attractions, as well as its historic and cultural landmarks.” Razouqi said, “Choosing Casablanca as a destination complements the plans developed by Kuwait Airways to expand its network of routes around the world, and to new and preferred markets that meet the aspirations and requirements of its customers. The selection of this destination came after extensive and systematic research of the feasibility, effectiveness, and profitability of this route for the Company.” Razouqi indicated that Kuwait Airways is fully equipped with a young diverse fleet of the latest types of aircraft, with state-of-the-art technology, and the Airbus A330-800 was selected to facilitate the travel of passengers to and from Casablanca. The A330-800 is known for its unique features and characteristics that will enable customers to enjoy a comfortable and pleasant travel experience. He added that Kuwait Airways was steadily progressing towards digital transformation and to attain the best levels of excellence. Kuwait Airways launches flights to Nice from 15th June

Kuwait Airways announces the launch of its scheduled flights to Nice in the French Republic, commencing from 15th June, with two flights per week, on Sundays and Wednesdays. Kuwait Airways Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Maen Razouqi stated that Nice is one of the new destinations that Kuwait Airways is including to its network of routes around the world, pointing out this particular destination is among the important and preferred destinations for the passengers of the Blue Bird, due to its attractive touristic locations, especially as it is located on the Mediterranean coast and is considered as a major tourist center, which is famous for its beautiful and picturesque beaches. Razouqi mentioned that Kuwait Airways’ selection of Nice as a destination came after comprehensive research of the feasibility of this destination with its multiple advantages for tourism, especially during the extended summer season. He noted that Nice is an excellent addition to the National Carrier’s schedule of operations and its upcoming plans to diversify its destinations, as well as venture into new markets with positive economic feasibility. Kuwait Airways to operate to Trabzon, Bodrum and Izmir

Kuwait Airways announced the operation of three new summer destinations to the Republic of Turkey. The Company will launch its scheduled commercial flights to Trabzon with three flights per week on Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, commencing from 28th April 2022. This is followed by launching three flights per week to Bodrum on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays, starting from 30th April 2022. KAC will also be launching two flights to Izmir on Mondays and Wednesdays, commencing from 5th June 2022. In this regard, the Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Maen Razouqi stated, “Kuwait Airways is in preparation to launch operations for the summer season of 2022 with numerous new destinations for the summer and is proceeding according to its planned objectives to expand its network of operations around the world. We are expecting significant recovery for this season in particular and in the progress of travel, followed by the growth of the tourism, travel and hospitality sectors and the commercial air transport in general.” Razouqi added, “Kuwait Airways’ focus on launching new destinations to Turkey came as a result of increasing demand from our valued customers, especially in the summer, along with the feasibility and benefit of these destinations for the Company. Kuwait Airways to operate two flights per week to Salalah

Kuwait Airways Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Maen Razouqi, received the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Kuwait, H.E. Dr. Saleh bin Amer Al-Kharousi, in the presence of the Company’s Board Member, Mr. Ahmed Al-Ibrahim at the Kuwait Airways headquarters. The two parties discussed methods to enhance joint cooperation and bilateral relations, to develop them in all aspects related to the aviation sector. They also touched on the extent of relations between the State of Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman, and the convergence of views between them in all that is related to public interest and in the benefit of both parties. They also focused on ways to achieve the desired objectives in consolidating and strengthening the level of relations between the two countries. Kuwait Airways to launch flights to Manchester from 1st May 2022

Kuwait Airways Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Maen Razouqi received the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the State of Kuwait, H.E. Belinda Lewis, accompanied by Mr. Siraj Hatem, Senior Trade Adviser at the Embassy and Mrs. Samantha Kerry, Events Officer, and in the presence of KAC’s Chief Operations Officer, Captain Eisa Al-Haddad and the Director of Training, Captain Ali Al-Marri. Kuwait Airways restarts Munich route; expects increase from GCC

Starting July 17, 2021 Kuwait Airways re-instated two weekly services between Munich and Kuwait City. The route is operated on Thursdays and Saturdays with a brand new Airbus A320neo. “We are very pleased that Kuwait Airways has decided to re-launch flights to Munich and we expect a good response to the route this summer” states Oliver Dersch, Vice President Traffic Development Munich Airport. Along with Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways flights, there will be a total of 19 weekly departures from the Gulf region to Munich this July and potentially more to come in the following months. In 2019, 1.7 million passengers traveled on flights between Munich and the Gulf States. “We are convinced that traffic between the two popular regions will soon recover, with Germany once again allowing entry for fully vaccinated visitors from countries outside the EU,” adds Dersch. Kuwait Airways takes delivery of its first two A330neos

Kuwait Airways has received its first two A330neos. These aircraft are the first of eight A330neos ordered by the airline. The carrier currently operates a fleet of 15 Airbus aircraft comprising seven A320ceos, three A320neos and five A330ceos. This event also marks Airbus’ first A330-800 delivery. The new generation widebody aircraft is the latest addition to Airbus’ product line, highlighting the company’s strategy to keep offering its airline customers unbeatable economics, increased operational efficiency and superior passenger comfort with proven latest technology platforms. Etihad and Kuwait Airways ink codeshare partnership

Etihad Airways and Kuwait Airways have signed a codeshare partnership on selected services on bookings effective December 22, 2019, for travel from January 5, 2020. Subject to regulatory approvals, Etihad will place its ‘EY’ code on Kuwait Airways operated flights from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait, Najaf and Dhaka. In turn, Kuwait Airways will place its ‘KU’ code on Etihad flights from Kuwait to Abu Dhabi, Belgrade, Casablanca, Rabat, Khartoum, Johannesburg, Lagos, Nairobi, Male in the Maldives, and Mahe in the Seychelles. Tony Douglas, Group Chief Executive Officer, Etihad Aviation Group, said, “The joint network and product advantages of our codeshare collaboration with Kuwait Airways will create tangible benefits for our customers, building on the strong relationship between our two nations, while providing greater convenience and superior in-flight service and hospitality.
