Elaf highlights leading portfolio in hospitality, tourism, and travel in Saudi Tourism Forum first edition

As part of its continuous efforts to support the development of the travel and tourism sectors in the KSA and the growth and sustainability of the national tourism sector, Elaf Group participated recently in the debut edition of the Saudi Tourism Forum, the leading platform highlighting most important trends and latest developments in the Saudi tourism sector, which congregated over  350  specialised entities in the Saudi tourism industry, at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The forum served as an ideal platform for Elaf Group to highlight its leading portfolio of services in the field of hospitality, tourism, and travel. The group’s pavilion attracted a sizeable turnout amid a significant appreciation for its services, programs and exclusive offers that support Saudi Arabia’s effort in achieving “Saudi Vision 2030”.

Elaf’s involvement in the event, which attracted significant local, regional, and international participation from investors, experts, and organisations involved in the travel and tourist business, is in line with its efforts to boost regional tourism. Additionally, the forum held a group of panel sessions exploring prevalent challenges facing the tourism industry in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Adel Ezzat, CEO of Elaf Group, took part in a panel discussion that covered a range of topics, including the use of technology in tourism, hospitality’s future in Saudi Arabia, the role of transportation in the tourism industry and Saudi ecotourism. Ezzat further highlighted the potential for growth in the tourism and hospitality industries as well as the solutions needed to enhance performance in both industries in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Dr. Ezzat emphasised the importance of the tourism sector in the KSA, for its contributions in supporting the growth of the national economy. He further highlighted the great care and interest that the sector receives locally in light of the wise directions and unlimited support of  The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, by creating an integrated legislative ecosystem, supporting national talents, and organising events that elevate the tourism ecosystem in the kingdom, including the Saudi Tourism Forum. These steps are in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 and aim to achieve the three development pillars: A vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation.

Moreover, Dr. Ezzat highlighted the vital role of the sector in supporting the development of the tourism sector, and emphasised the importance of investing in the working force in the fields of local tourism, further providing them with opportunities to train and develop their skills, in addition to providing comprehensive tourism services that meet the needs of guests and take into account the features of the various tourism areas. Dr. Ezzat shed light on the position of the hospitality sector in the field of local tourism, as reports have shown that the spending made by visitors and tourists in the Riyadh hotels during tourism seasons amounts to 40 per cent of their total expenditure. Dr. Ezzat pointed out that this data drives the group to constantly develop its suite of services to ensure exceptional experiences for all guests and visitors, which include utilising electronic channels and providing digital services to continue down the path of development and meet the expectations of the younger generations.

Dr. Adel Ezzat expressed his happiness at being a part of the Saudi Tourism Forum, stating that it is the largest event in the country’s tourism industry and provides a platform for promoting Saudi tourism and highlighting its strengths, heritage, and diversity in culture and civilisation. Ezzat further emphasised Elaf Group’s dedication in serving the Saudi Arabian tourism industry’s development journey through its diverse experience and capabilities. He highlighted that by constantly focusing on the enhancement of its services and outfitting its hotels with the most modern amenities, the Group is ready to welcome the rising numbers of pilgrims and tourists.
