Hilton announces opening of three hotels at Al Seef in Dubai

Hilton announced the opening of three hotels at Al Seef in Dubai under three of its industry-leading brands. In partnership with Dubai-based holding company Meraas and under the terms of the agreement, Hilton will operate Hampton by Hilton Dubai Al Seef, Canopy by Hilton Dubai Al Seef and Al Seef Heritage Hotel Dubai, Curio Collection by Hilton. Owned by Meraas, the three hotels, which originally opened in 2018, are located at Al Seef, the bustling waterfront destination by Meraas, along the shore of Dubai Creek, and are now open under these Hilton brands. Commenting on the opening of these hotels, Rudi Jagersbacher, Hilton’s President for Middle East, Africa and Turkey said, “We are delighted to be adding these three spectacular hotels to our portfolio here in Dubai. Ritz Carlton Ras Al Khaimah pledges support for eco-tourism project

The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, will be welcoming 80 new Arabian Sand Gazelles, to the stunning nature reserve until the end of 2019, increasing the resort’s population of gazelles to more than 135 gazelles. Alshaya Group to bring Canopy by Hilton to Kuwait

Alshaya Group announced plans to bring the Canopy by Hilton hotel brand to Kuwait, offering locals and visitors alike a fresh guest experience. 304-room Premier Inn opens at Dragon City in Dubai

Nakheel’s second hotel at Dragon City – a 304-room Premier Inn – is now open, marking another key milestone in the developer’s hospitality business strategy. Premier Inn Dragon City, located just steps away from the world-famous Dragon Mart and its 5,000 shops, restaurants and attractions, was officially opened on December 12 by Ali Rashid Lootah, Chairman of Nakheel and Alison Brittain, Chief Executive Officer of Whitbread, the UK’s largest hospitality company and owner of the Premier Inn brand.   The eight-storey hotel features a 320-seater restaurant, a Costa Coffee shop, a fully-equipped gym and meeting facilities. It is the fourth Nakheel hotel to be delivered, coming hot on the heels of the inauguration last week of its second hotel at Ibn Battuta Mall. Premier Inn also operates Nakheel’s first hotel at Ibn Battuta, opened in 2016. Marriott inks deal with Landmark Sabbour to open W in Cairo, Egypt

Marriott International announced an agreement with Landmark Sabbour to bring the W Brand to Cairo, underscoring the growing demand for luxury in Egypt. Mandarin Oriental to manage Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group signed management contract to manage and brand, the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Group will take over management of the property from January 1, 2020. It will be Mandarin Oriental’s second hotel in the United Arab Emirates following the opening of Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai in early 2019. The hotel will be rebranded as a Mandarin Oriental property, following a phased renovation over two years, during which time the hotel will remain open. The work will encompass significant upgrades to guestrooms and recreational amenities, as well as new food and beverage facilities. The Emirates Palace hotel sits on a 1.3 km private beachfront, featuring 394 guestrooms and suites, 12 restaurants and bars, 40 meeting rooms, a concert grade auditorium and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 2,500 people. Leisure facilities include a marina, two swimming pools, a spa and two fitness centres. “This is a unique opportunity to manage one of the most high-profile properties in the Middle East and will be an excellent addition to our portfolio in the region. TIME adds two more UAE hotels to its portfolio

TIME Hotels Management has announced the signing of a new agreement to operate two additional properties in the UAE. TIME Hotels took over day-to-day operations of the newly-branded TIME Onyx Hotel Apartments Al Qusais and TIME Moonstone Hotel Apartments in Fujairah following the signing of a management agreement onsite during Arabian Travel Market 2019 in Dubai between Mohamed Awadalla, CEO, TIME Hotels and Ali Mohamed Obaid Al Qutami, Managing Director, Jams HR Solutions. Commenting on the new management agreement, Mohamed Awadalla, CEO, TIME Hotels, said, “This new partnership further reinforces our steady and focused growth strategy to expand our footprint in the UAE with further openings in Dubai, and Sharjah, as well as other properties across the region in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.” TIME Onyx Hotel Apartments, Al Qusais, comprises 176 rooms including 42 studios, 99 one-bedroom apartments and 35 two-bedroom apartments.
