ADNEC Group launches charter flight service to support Abu Dhabi’s tourism and hospitality sectors 

ADNEC  Group, through its tourism arm Tourism 365, has launched new charter flight services in the UAE, enhancing travel options for international tourists from multiple destinations while propelling the UAE’s hospitality offering and reputation as a premier global destination. This premium new service, available from Europe and central Asia, is poised to increase visitor arrivals to the UAE, while further solidifying ADNEC Group’s position as a key player in the regional tourism sector. The new charter service complements the group’s wider hospitality offering, supporting the travel industry’s role in the nation’s economic growth, a sector expected to represent nearly 10 per cent of the UAE’s total economy in 2023. Charter flights have been launched by Tourism 365 in August from high demand and non-commercially operated international markets. Hundreds of thousands of travellers are expected to experience Tourism 365’s new service this year alone. Emerging source markets boosting arrivals into Abu Dhabi include Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Tajikistan through its tour operator, Easy Booking, in Central Asia. This October, the German market will also benefit from the launch of weekly charter operations to Abu Dhabi from airports including Leipzig, Nuremberg and Cologne through its own tour operator, Capital Holidays. The charter flights will complement the existing direct commercial flight network. Dubai Culture supports Dubai Tourism’s ‘Medyaf’ initiative

Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) recently participated in Dubai Tourism’s ‘Medyaf’ initiative, which is conducted regularly to provide opportunities to UAE nationals to acquire appropriate training and become adept professionals of any sector of the tourism and hospitality industry. The ultimate aim of the project is to build a force of skilful tourism professionals from within the country who could take care of the 20 million guests that are expected to visit Dubai for Expo 2020. Dubai Culture’s participation in this training programme reflects its commitment to nurturing and empowering national talent. Through this training programme, which was held at Shangri-La Hotel on July 18, Dubai Culture aimed to enhance the technical skills of its staff specialising in history, Islamic civilisation and tourism. It also launched a cultural tour guide programme and trained the first batch of employees in this initiative, who were drawn from across the Authority’s numerous heritage sites, including the recently unveiled Etihad Museum. Abu Dhabi is UK’s latest favourite holiday destination: Gold Medal

Gold Medal, a leading UK travel company, has heralded Abu Dhabi as one of the most popular destinations for this summer, following a surge in the number of British holidaymakers visiting the United Arab Emirates this year. Offering a variety of online travel services and products, including airfares, hotel reservations and car rentals to travel agents, Gold Medal has reported a 294 per cent year-on-year increase in the summer 2017 holiday bookings than 2016 holiday bookings from the UK to the UAE capital.
