SalamAir announces that they will operate flights from 17th December from Muscat to Lucknow. The service will operate five times a week, with flights scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. This route expansion provides excellent connectivity to all GCC destinations, including Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam, Jeddah, Riyadh, Doha, Dubai, and Fujairah.

SalamAir announced that they will commence flights from Muscat to Lucknow from 17th December. The service will operate five times a week, with flights scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. This route expansion provides excellent connectivity to all GCC destinations, including Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam, Jeddah, Riyadh, Doha, Dubai, and Fujairah. This strengthens their commitment to their passengers offering them greater flexibility and more travel options.

Starting August 31st, 2023, SalamAir will operate three weekly flights from Muscat to Baghdad. The new route is available every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  In parallel, starting from the 1st of October, SalamAir will operate two flights per week to Peshawar every Monday and Thursday. Peshawar is their fourth destination in Pakistan, after Sialkot, Multan, and Karachi. “We’re excited to unveil Peshawar and Baghdad as our latest destinations, a testament to our six years of successful operations. SalamAir flies directly from Suhar to Salalah, Shiraz, Trabzon, and Salalah to Muscat, Suhar, Fujairah, Madinah, Bahrain, and Calicut.

Oman Air and SalamAir concluded a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance various aspects of cooperation, develop and implement a joint commercial strategy in the field of air transport. The MoU provides for cooperation between the two airlines’ networks to enhance operational efficiency and improve passenger service, besides consolidating ties in the areas of destination planning, flight schedules, inventory management, air fleet management, revenue and sales management. The MoU was signed by Captain Nasser Al Salmi, Acting CEO of Oman Air, and Captain Mohammed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir. Eng. Said Hamoud Al Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman Air, affirmed that the MoU will secure the complementary role of the two companies in making Muscat Airport more attractive through the integration of operations aimed at increasing the number of destinations reached by Oman Air and SalamAir. In a statement to reporters, the minister said that the MoU would also bolster passenger traffic at Muscat Airport and boost the market share of Oman Air and SalamAir to and from Oman. The MoU is the first step in Oman Air’s recovery plan announced by the government, he added. For his part, Anwar Mohammed Al Rawas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SalamAir Company, underscored the significance of the MoU, which, he described as a positive move that generates benefits for both parties in the aviation sector, improve passenger services and avoid unfavourable competition and losses. SalamAir announced non-stop flights between Bahrain and Salalah. The new service will commenced last week, supporting the Khareef season. The non-stop flight will operate once a week from Bahrain to Salalah every Wednesday and from Salalah to Bahrain every Saturday, In addition to the daily flight via Muscat International Airport. SalamAir inaugurated its first direct flights to the city of Almaty in the Republic of Kazakhstan, twice a week, on Saturdays and Wednesdays, with its latest Airbus aircraft. His Excellency Najmuddin Muhammad Ali, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Sultanate of Oman, said that the opening of this destination will contribute to strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, especially economic and tourism, explaining, “We are counting on this historic step, as it is the first scheduled flight between the two countries.” In a statement to the Omani News Agency, the ambassador expressed his hope that this destination would contribute to activating tourism, business growth and other fields between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
