IHG Hotels & Resorts continues expansion in Saudi Arabia with Hotel Indigo in NEOM’s Oxagon

IHG® Hotels & Resorts signed a franchise agreement that will see a Hotel Indigo property open in Oxagon, a coastal industrial city in NEOM, located in the Northwest region of Saudi Arabia. Appointed as the ‘Key partner superyacht agency in NEOM,’ BWA Yachting’s office will provide services for the world’s most spectacular luxury vessels, as Sindalah becomes the Red Sea’s long-awaited first ultra-prime superyacht destination. NEOM and Volocopter tests first electric air taxi flight in Saudi Arabia

NEOM and Volocopter  announced the successful completion of a series of air taxi test flights. This marks the first time an eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft has received a special flight authorization and performed test flights in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The flight test campaign lasted over a week and built on 18 months of collaboration between NEOM, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), and Volocopter, with the aim of implementing and scaling an electric UAM ecosystem and testbed in NEOM. The parties worked closely to ensure full regulatory compliance and safety ahead of the test campaign. IGY Marinas partners with Sindalah to support vision of establishing world-leading yachting destination

IGY Marinas announced that it is partnering with NEOM, the global development taking shape in northwest Saudi Arabia, to develop and operate the prestigious marina at Sindalah, the giga-project’s luxury island destination. Perfectly positioned as a glamorous gateway to the Red Sea, Sindalah will be the closest ultra-prime superyacht marina to Europe and the Mediterranean. Marriott signs agreement with NEOM to open 3 hotels in luxury island Sindalah

Marriott International, Inc. announced it has signed an agreement with NEOM to open three properties on its luxury island destination Sindalah, situated in the Red Sea off the northwest coast of Saudi Arabia. The multi-deal agreement includes Saudi Arabia’s first Autograph Collection Hotels property, as well as two Luxury Collection properties. “NEOM is one of the most highly-anticipated developments in the world and we look forward to working with its team to develop these three exciting properties,” said Jerome Briet, Chief Development Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International. “The Luxury Collection and Autograph Collection Hotels properties will express their own unique personality inspired by the exceptional natural landscapes of NEOM. Luxury destination Sindalah slated to open in 2024

With NEOM having moved to the building phase of the project and the first destination – Sindalah – due to open its doors in 2024, a progress film has been released. It shows real-world footage of the large-scale construction across NEOM regions including THE LINE, Trojena, Sindalah and Oxagon. We want to show the world that NEOM is really happening. NEOM showcases its capacity to host global sport events in an unique destination

NEOM, the global development taking shape in northwest Saudi Arabia, has successfully wrapped up the NEOM Beach Games 2022 after hosting over 500 athletes from 25 countries. Between October 19 and December 9, NEOM witnessed thrilling competitions that received wide international media coverage. The series of dynamic sport events commenced with freestyle kitesurfing on October 19, followed by an Olympic-level competition of short-course triathlon. Other events included 3×3 basketball and 5×5 beach soccer, the latter of which saw world champions Brazil secure both the men’s and women’s trophies. NEOM Beach Games concluded on December 9 with a desert mountain bike race that saw 220 male and females from around the world take part in the four-stage event, each athlete cycling 80-120 kilometers per day. To ensure maximum global exposure, each sport federation participating at NEOM Beach Games had its own global live feed to broadcast the action. BBC screened the Super League Triathlon NEOM event, while Sport TV ­– the biggest sports channel in Brazil – broadcast the NEOM Beach Soccer Cup to a potential audience of over 200 million. NEOM aims to become sports destination hub

NEOM, the sustainable regional development taking shape in northwest Saudi Arabia, announced the NEOM Beach Games 2022 that will bring together leading world class sport events with high performance athletes from over 25 countries, as the region aims to become a hub for sport. The series of major sport events will launch on October 19 and feature five dynamic sports; kitesurfing, triathlon, 3×3 basketball, beach soccer and mountain biking. Commenting on the announcement, NEOM’s CEO, Nadhmi Al-Nasr, said, “We are delighted to host the NEOM Beach Games which brings together local and international rights holders for five globally popular sports in one diverse location in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
