Abu Dhabi conducts four-city roadshow in India

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi is embarking on a four-city roadshow to India along with partners and stakeholders to help promote the emirate and lure more Indian visitors to explore Abu Dhabi. The delegation, which includes Rotana Hotels, Yas Experience, Royal Arabian Destination Management, Royal Rose Hotels, Etihad Airways, Jet Airways, Lama Tours, Air Travel Enterprises, Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, and Holiday Inn Hotels will be in India from until March 23. The roadshow began in Chandigarh in northern India, followed by Ahmedabad, Mumbai and concluding in Pune. Last year, more than 360,000 Indians stayed in Abu Dhabi’s 162 hotels and hotel apartments, an increase of more than 11 per cent compared to the previous year. Mubarak Al Nuaimi, Director, Promotions and Overseas Offices, Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, said, “India is a vital Tier-I source market for us which is providing more and more hotel guests for us each year and helped us reach a record of more than 4.9 million numbers of guests last year. In 2017, we recorded spectacular double-digit growth from India and we are already recording further progress from the Indian market since the turn of the year.”

Golden Sands Hotel Apartments forays into India

Golden Sands Hotel Apartments, part of A.A. Al Moosa Enterprises and pioneered the concept of hotel apartments in the region, announced its participation in a 10-day roadshow to India to promote Dubai as a key destination for Indian travellers. From August 22 to 31, the team of Golden Sands Hotel Apartments will join Lama Tours in visiting nine well-known cities in India such as Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Pune, Cochin, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh and Jalandhar to build awareness and boost inbound tourism. Shaza Ahmed, Sales Manager, who will head the team will meet with key travel agencies and tour operators that bring large groups of Indian travellers to the UAE and secure a strong customer base. The team will update potential partners about the refurbishment projects at Golden Sands 3 and certain public areas in Golden Sands 10, in its continuing effort to maintain high standard product, service and facilities. They will also present their attractive promotions for the winter season.
