flydubai to begin operations in Europe from June 2019

flydubai will operate up to five direct flights a week to Naples and Budapest in Europe from June 4 and June 27, 2019, respectively. Emirates will codeshare on both routes strengthing the partnership between the two airlines, which aims to provide more options for travelling to passengers. Both routes will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International (DXB). To offer passengers more comfort and an enhanced travel experience, flydubai will operate the new routes on the brand-new Boeing 737 MAX 8. The new cabin offering features a flat-bed in Business Class, while the Economy Class offers new RECARO seats, which are designed to optimise space and comfort. flydubai also offers exceptional inflight entertainment with a full HD, 11.6-inch screen, featuring a wide selection of movies, TV shows, music and games in English, Arabic and Russian. Commenting on the launch, Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer, flydubai, said, “We are delighted to be launching flights to Budapest and Naples. These destinations provide our passengers with more choice on our network while reaffirming our commitment to the vision to create free flows of tourism and strengthen direct airlinks with the UAE.” Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations and e-commerce, flydubai, said, “Budapest and Naples are important centres for commerce, trade and industry and are incredibly popular leisure destinations, especially during summer. BYHOURS launches in Manama, Bahrain

BYHOURS has officially launched in Manama, enabling users to select the desired check-in time to hotel rooms at any time during the day. The platform allows users to book hotel rooms in sets of three, six or twelve-hour timeslots. BYHOURS offers such flexibility in hotel stays in more than 3000 hotels in 25 countries across Europe, Latin America and the GCC region. This start-up is the first to introduce the concept of micro-stays and a pay-per-use finance scheme in the international travel and hospitality industry. Rotana to strengthen its presence in Dubai and Europe

Rotana has signed two new hotel management agreements to further strengthen the company’s presence in its home region and expand its footprint into Europe. Air Arabia introduces next-gen management system

Air Arabia introduces SITA’s next-generation passenger management system to extract even greater efficiency across its operations. Air Arabia carried close to 8-million passengers in 2015, serving 101 destinations spread across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and Europe from five hubs in the UAE, Egypt, Morocco and Jordan. SITA’s latest passenger service system will help the airline better manage the boarding of passengers across all destinations while streamlining the turnaround of the airline’s aircraft. Through the Horizon Passenger Management and Distribution portfolio, SITA will provide the airline with its latest departure control and weight and balance systems. Horizon Weight & Balance will increase fuel savings for the airline by providing full load planning capabilities, including a graphical user interface framework, for all the functionalities required to load and dispatch an aircraft. This includes all legally required documentation for both airlines and ground handlers. SITA’s Horizon  Departure Control Services (DCS) is a fully integrated multi-host system for automated check-in, boarding and load planning and has been used to check in more than 167 million passengers worldwide.
