Verteil and dnata Travel Group have entered into an agreement for powering the dnata Travel Group’s NDC adoption via Verteil Direct Connect (VDC) platform. The dnata Travel Group of companies will now be able to access airline NDC content across multiple business lines that serve the travel requirements of a diverse market. By virtue of integrating VDC APIs into its current technology stack, a full range of air content will be available in one place for the dnata Travel Group, thus making it easier for its agents to compare offers and provide its customers with the best value proposition. dnata adds Boston and Los Angeles to its global catering network

dnata continues to expand its catering operations in the United States. The company has opened two new, state-of-the-art facilities at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and now offers quality catering services from six airports in the country. dnata’s catering operations in the two cities are expected to create a total of 250 new, direct jobs with the company over the next 18 months. Robin Padgett, Divisional Senior Vice President for dnata’s catering division, said, “We pride ourselves on providing five-star catering services to our airline customers, ensuring an excellent dining experience for their passengers on board. Dubai’s dnata opens new lounge for unaccompanied minors

dnata has opened a new airport lounge at Dubai International (DXB) to enhance young flyers’ travel experience. The newest dnata facility has been designed and launched exclusively for unaccompanied minors, whose safety, security and comfort are ensured by dnata’s specially trained team at the airport. In 2018 the dnata team assisted 8,000 unaccompanied minors at Dubai International (DXB), 27 per cent more, than five years ago. Located at Terminal 1, the lounge is tastefully decorated in vibrant colours. It is equipped with games and entertainment screens to keep the young guests occupied throughout the day. The lounge is open 24 hours and manned by experienced, multilingual staff. dnata employs over 70 dedicated agents who work closely with airline representatives to ensure unaccompanied minors are in safe hands, reach departure gates on time and receive priority boarding. dnata has seen these services become increasingly popular in the UAE in recent years. dnata invests in US catering operations; opens five new catering facilities in 2019

dnata, one of the world’s largest air services providers, continues to invest in its catering operations in the United States.  The company has opened a new, 4,700 m² (51,000 ft2) facility at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and now offers quality catering services in Houston with a capacity of more than 10,000 meals a day.  dnata’s latest expansion will create more than 150 new jobs with the company. The launch customer is British Airways, which operates two daily flights from Houston. dnata expands into Belgium with state-of-the-art cargo facility at Brussels Airport

dnata continues to increase its global footprint and launches operations in Belgium by opening a new cargo centre at Brussels Airport. dnata’s expansion into the Belgian capital represents an investment of EUR 8 million and creates up to 100 local jobs with the company. dnata’s new facility, which covers an area of 14,000 m², substantially increases the cargo capacity in the Benelux states allowing airline customers to enhance their operations in the region. dnata expands in Czech Republic

dnata has expanded its operations and production in the Czech Republic to meet the growing demand for its quality inflight catering and inflight retail services. Operating a state-of-the-art facility at Vaclav Havel Airport, the company currently serves 18 airlines in Prague. dnata’s growth in 2018 has been driven by a new partnership with American Airlines and the additional flights of its existing customers, including Emirates and Air Canada. In the first 10 months of 2018, the dnata team prepared over five million inflight meals for a total of 35,000 Prague flights, which represents a 15 per cent increase year over year. To support the growth, the company has hired 25 additional, local staff in the past 12 months and now employs over 300 dedicated professionals in the Czech capital. dnata expands operations in the United States

dnata has launched operations at Los Angeles International Airport and now provides quality and reliable ground handling and cargo services at 20 airports in the country. To establish operations in Los Angeles, dnata has invested $8 million in infrastructure and resources, creating more than 350 local jobs. Serving six airlines, including Austrian Airlines, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines and Qantas, dnata will initially handle 4,600 flights a year. The company commenced ground handling and cargo operations in the United States by the acquisition of industry players in 2016. Since then, it has invested more than $35 million in facilities, equipment, training and technology. Having won over 45 new contracts in the past 12 months, dnata now serves over 60 airlines in the United States. dnata doubles operations in Canada

GTA dnata expands operations at Toronto Pearson International Airport with the start of a new, long-term partnership with Air Transat. Starting from November, GTA dnata provides ground and passenger services to the airline, more than doubling the number of flights handled by its operations. To support the growth, GTA dnata has hired more than 200 additional staff to its team, which now consists of 450 customer-oriented aviation professionals. dnata launches passenger services at New York-JFK Airport

dnata has launched passenger handling operations at New York-JFK Airport. Already providing ground handling to over 50 airlines in the United States, this is a natural portfolio extension for dnata in New York. The launch customer is Copa Airlines, the flag carrier of Panama, which operates four daily flights with an annual capacity of 364,000 passengers between New York and Panama City using the Boeing 737 aircraft.
