Golden Sands Hotel Apartments is looking forward to an increased share of travellers from Russia after a successful roadshow in St Petersburg and Moscow. The team of Golden Sands Hotel Apartments joined the 2018 Dubai Tourism Russia Roadshow held from September 3 to 6, where they received great interest from travel agents and tour operators who were interested to learn about the services offered by mid-scale and budget hotels, including hotel-serviced apartments. “The Russian market is an emerging market for Golden Sands Hotel Apartments. The trip to two major cities in Russia opened a huge opportunity for the property. We received a huge number of enquiries and interests from the travellers from Russia who are looking for more affordable deals and value-based option. Dubai has traditionally been a popular tourist destination among Russians and majority prefers the beachfront properties when staying in Dubai but we saw a new segment of visitors who are willing to stay in city hotels that offer shuttle buses to take them to the beach and other popular attractions in the city,” the team said. Visitor numbers from Russia visiting Dubai have continued to rise, delivering 405,000 visitors for the first half of 2018, a growth of 74 per cent over the same period in 2017, according to figures released by DTCM. Golden Sands joins Dubai Tourism at India roadshow

The team of Golden Sands Hotel Apartments, part of AA Al Moosa Enterprises, recently participated at the Dubai tourism roadshow in India. The team joined the delegation headed by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) that visited the cities of Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad and Mumbai and met with potential partners and buyers, in a move to further boost the overall number of Indian travellers to Dubai. According to DTCM, visitors from India have increased by 7 per cent in the first quarter of 2018. Mohammed Khoori, General Manager, Golden Sands Hotel Apartments said, “We are very keen to get a share of this growing market so we met with several partners who can promote Golden Sands Hotel Apartments to travellers from these four cities. We received great feedback from tour operators and travel agencies who informed us that Indian travellers coming to the UAE are choosing Golden Sands as their preferred accommodation.” The team focused on meeting travel agents and tour operators who are selling the destination to family and individuals as well as niche segments such as small family group, golf, wedding and luxury. Representatives from hotels, airline heads, opinion leaders and heads of key travel trade associations along with travel operators were invited to attend the four-day roadshow.

Golden Sands witnesses 10% increase in Indian visitors

Golden Sands Hotel Apartments, part of A.A. Al Moosa Enterprises, witnessed an increase of 10 per cent in visitor arrivals from India in 2017 and is expecting to double the growth this year. The property hopes to continue to attract and get a bigger share of this market through an aggressive marketing campaign and participation in trade shows such as SATTE, South Asia’s leading travel show set to be held in New Delhi, India from January 31 to February 2, 2018. India is the number one source market for Dubai’s inbound tourism, with 1,478,000 Indian tourists arriving in the city between January and September 2017, a 20 per cent increase over the same period in 2016. Recent reports indicated that around nine million Indians are expected to travel to the GCC by 2021, with the UAE expected to see a 10.8 per cent increase. “Golden Sands is known in the India market for the quality of service, high standard facilities and convenient location.
