39% increase in vacation rental income during Dubai’s events: GuestReady

GuestReady Dubai has unveiled the top events for homeowners and property investors to look out for during the year 2020. With Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) and the Dubai Jazz Festival expected to spur a significant increase in international visitation, landlords stand a chance to earn up to 39 per cent more than they would during a typical week. Leveraging insights from data provided by AirDNA, which analyses the performance of over 10 million vacation rentals across 80,000 cities worldwide, GuestReady Dubai has identified Arab Health, the Dubai International Boat Show, the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships, the Dubai Design Week, and Expo 2020 Dubai as other major events where hosts can maximise their earning potential by ensuring that the booking calendar is open for guests to make reservations. With the three-day Dubai Jazz Festival underway, landlords can earn an average revenue of AED 2,921 with RevPAR going up 35.55 per cent at AED 584.2 from AED 430.97 from 26-28 February. Average nights per booking is set to be seven as opposed to 6.21 nights without the event, and booking lead time is expected to be 44 days. As for Expo 2020 Dubai, RevPAR is projected at AED 560-802 with eight nights per reservation, and a booking lead time of 34-62 days. The 22nd edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) is offering residents and visitors exciting events, sales and endless entertainment until August 3. In order to get the most out of what DSS has to offer, the all-new Dubai Pass gives pre-paid access to the best attractions, tours and sightseeing experiences across the emirate, for up to 60 per cent off. With three passes to choose from, everyone can curate their own Dubai adventure. Dubai Select  — Save up to 50 per cent on a choice of three must-see Dubai attractions and experiences. Whether it’s Desert Safari, Splash Tour, Kidzania, Motiongate, Burj Khalifa or Etihad Museum, there’s more than 40 activities to choose from. Dubai’s annual citywide summer celebration, Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) is set to return to the city from June 22-August 4, 2018, offering a six-week extravaganza of sales, retail experiences and events. Organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), the 21st edition of the popular summer event will feature a line-up of spectacular sales, retail experiences, chances to win and weekly performances to keep the family entertained this summer. 39% increase in shoppers at Dubai Festival City Summer Surprises

Dubai Festival City celebrated its most successful Dubai Summer Surprises this year as it saw the number of shoppers that took part in its spend-and-win activity almost doubling as compared to the last year, and nearly 39% increase in footfall year-on-year. More than 90,000 people entered its Shop.Pop.Win virtual reality activity, where Festival City gave away 30,000 instant prizes from the mall’s retailers worth AED 1 million in value. Over 150,000 shoppers also visited Confetti Dome, the largest ever in the region. Steven Cleaver, Director Shopping Malls, Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate, commented on the unprecedented popularity of its six-week campaign, “We continue to push boundaries and look for new and innovative ways in which to engage our visitors. Because of this, DSS 2017 has proved to be our most successful to date. This year’s ‘Eid in Dubai – Eid Al Fitr’ celebrations promise to be as exciting as it can get with a range of events and activities for everyone to enjoy including concerts by Arab stars, family oriented events hosted by malls and Modhesh World, one of the most popular indoor edutainment destinations in the region.
